Masterclass with Ivan Vyrypaev

A special encounter organised by ARTBOX FARGANI and the Andreas Voutsinas Advanced School of Dramatic Art with internationally recognised playwright and director Ivan Vyrypaev, in connection with the production “Mahamaya Electronic Devices — Questions for Today”. The project was co-funded by Poland’s Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the Culture Promotion Fund.

Acting on Camera masterclass with Louis Mandylor

A three-day acting-for-camera masterclass with award-winning actor and director Louis Mandylor, combining theoretical and practical work on screen performance.

MAM radio production

MAM

A collaboration with ERT for the radio production of Sakis Serefas’s play “MAM”, directed by Pavlos Danelatos. Graduates Nikos Kounelis and Giannis Mastrogeorgiou performed alongside Pavlos Danelatos, while sound recording and editing were by Panos Mitsopoulos.

Quarantine Cartoons

Andreas Voutsinas Theatre presented the theatre performance “Quarantine Cartoons”, combining dance and video art, at the Garden Theatre as part of the Municipality of Thessaloniki’s first Summer Festival. TranSfera by SUKA OFF

SUKA OFF’s “TranSfera” was presented at the school’s CUM DEO Theatre as part of the 4th Thessaloniki Performance Festival for the 5th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art. The Polish group’s performance unfolded in five chapters centred on human corporeality and gender identity.

From drama to contemporary arts – interACT

The Andreas Voutsinas Arts Organisation participated as lead partner in “Interacting through Acting: From drama to contemporary arts – interACT”, together with the Small Theatre of Bitola and the Greece–Monastir Friendship and Cooperation Association “Pelagonia”. The project included shared theatrical and artistic activities within a cross-border programme.

The Threepenny Opera

The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht

The Andreas Voutsinas Theatre educational organisation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki’s Deputy Mayoral Office for Culture, presented Brecht’s “The Threepenny Opera” at the Municipal Garden Theatre, directed by Pavlos Danelatos. Roles were performed by graduates of the Advanced Drama School and third-year students.

Students of the school took part in a performance by Luigi Presicce within the Thessaloniki Performance Festival. More than twenty students participated in the presentation.

Toulouse-Lautrec: The Pleasure of Ugliness

The school took part in the programme surrounding the major Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition at the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation with the project “Toulouse-Lautrec: The Pleasure of Ugliness”, under the directing supervision of Tasos Rantzos. Students from all three years of the Drama School participated.

What Love?

An original dramaturgy production drawing on texts by students of the Andreas Voutsinas Advanced Drama School as well as works by C. P. Cavafy, Anton Chekhov, Dionysios Solomos, Loula Anagnostaki, Odysseas Elytis, Marguerite Duras, Napoleon Lapathiotis and Andreas Staikos. The project was created by Akis Dimou, Pavlos Panagiotidis and Rania Evangelinou.
